In the area of process engineering, the STREICHER Group, through its subsidiary company, VTA Verfahrenstechnische Anlagen GmbH & Co. KG, specialises in thermal separation of heat sensitive, highly viscous and solid products and complex mixtures.
The company operates worldwide regarding the manufacturing of wiped film and short path distillation systems and related components. The units can also be offered as turnkey package units. The thin film dryers and double screw dryers are used for processing crystalline, slurry and sludge products to complete dryness.
The design and sizing of the processes, units and apparatus is performed in our in-house pilot plant. Product specific trials are performed in laboratory and pilot units in order to collect the necessary process data for later engineering scale-up and plant layout.
VTA thermal separation technology is used globally by internationally operating clients, with particular focus in fats and oils (oleo-chemicals), food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, polymers, fine chemicals, agrochemicals and raw material chemistry.
Furthermore VTA offers toll distillation and contract manufacturing utilising wiped film and short path distillation units. We can process products with melting points above 150°C, viscosities up to 100,000 cP and operating pressures down to 0.001 mbar. Campaigns starting with a few kilogrammes up to several hundred metric tons can be continuously distilled in the different units.
