The high pressure gas line DN 500 - permitted operating pressure of 64 bar (year of construction 1966) - complies now, after completion of the work, with the technical standard according to the DVGW regulations with a permissible operating pressure of 67.5 bar.

On the pipeline (permissible operating pressure amounts to 100 bar) a pressure test was executed in 5 test sections from November 2007 till February 2008.
The contract also included caliper pigging with the PSI multi-channel caliper pig as well as the drying of the pipeline.

Execution of a pressure test of 2 lots in 13 test sections on a pipeline, total length 120 km (constructed in 3 lots). The permissible operating pressure amounts to 100 bar. The pressure test was executed so that the test pressures came up to about 180 bar. The contract also included caliper pigging with the PSI multi-channel caliper pig as well as the drying of the pipeline.

Execution of leak tightness and strength tests with water in 6 test sections, caliper pigging in 1 test section and air drying up to -25° C in 1 test section of a pipeline DN 1200, length 41 km. The transmission line DN 1200, length 2.6 km, from the Slovak border to the station in Baumgarten was also included in the execution of the project.
