Three slanted drilling rigs for the Russian market

In the second half of 2014, the sector drilling technology sold three horizontal drilling rigs to Russia. Prior delivery they were modified to so called slanted drilling rigs, with a set-up angle of 45°. In the past weeks, the rigs were transported to their location of operation, near the city Almetyevsk (approx. 1,000 km east of Moscow). A team of several STREICHER employees is on site in order to supervise the erection and commissioning of the rigs.

Slanted drilling rigs are suitable for the exploitation of near-surface raw material reserves. Compared to the operation of conventional, just vertical drilling rigs, the drilling of wells with a slanted rig can be carried out more effective on such reservoirs.
