Drilling with 600 m length beneath river Danube

On behalf of Bayernwerk AG, MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA/division local network construction carried out a drilling beneath the river Danube between Thundorf and Niederalteich/Germany. With a length of about 600 m this drilling is the longest one, the division local network construction has realised so far. First, in Thundorf a horizontal drilling rig with a pulling force of 50 tons was installed. Over a distance of 500 m the drilling was carried out through rocky underground – therefore, special drilling tools for rocky conditions (mud motor) and roller bits were used. Regularly the pilot hole was checked directly  by boat trips of the Technische Hilfswerk on the Danube. The reason for the drilling is the dismantling of overhead transmission lines, which run across the Danube and the necessary underground installation of a 20kV line. The cable conduit has a diameter of 250 mm and a wall thickness of 32.8 mm.

Snam Rete Gas awarded MAX STREICHER S.p.A. with the „Contractors‘ Safety Trophy“ for the second time

After 2016, once again this year, MAX STREICHER S.p.A. has received the award „Contractors‘ Safety Trophy“ for its careful and responsible activities under strict safety conditions from Snam Rete Gas. Despite the high number of working hours within Snam projects, MAX STREICHER S.p.A. registered no accidents. The basis for this award are the evaluation of HSE criteria, e.g. number of safety related incidents, audit results and inspections. Mario Bianchi, chairman of the board of MAX STREICHER S.p.A., explains the background: „Some years ago several smaller projects laid the foundation for the cooperation of MAX STREICHER S.p.A. with the customer Snam. The high quality of our services in pipeline and plant construction, our adherence to schedule and the compliance with demanding safety standards intensified the cooperation.“ Therefore, within the last years major projects like the gas storage facility in Bordolano or the gas pipelines between Zimella, Cervignano and Mortara were carried out. With the realisation of this contracts and further complex pipeline and plant projects, MAX STREICHER S.p.A. has developed to a leading company in this business sector in Italy. Today the company records an annual turnover of about 100 millions Euro.

Reconstruction of „B15“ in the area of Essenbach/Germany by MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA/branch Landshut

Within a consortium the branch Landshut of MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA has restructured a 9.5 km section of the main road „B15“ between Ergoldsbach and Essenbach. About 15,000 vehicles pass this section of the „B15“ daily, which connects the city Landshut with the junction of the „B15neu“ in Ergoldsbach. During the reconstruction works it wasn’t permitted to interrupt the traffic flow, with the exception of a complete closure during the last two weeks of the summer holidays. As part of the reconstruction of the whole crossing of Essenbach with a length of 1.2 km, a cycle path and parking area were installed, the sidewalk was restructured and two junctions including traffic lights were rebuilt. The contract also included the reconstruction of a 500 m section of the road „St2141“. The asphalt mixtures for all construction activities of STREICHER were delivered by the company’s own asphalt mixing plant nearby Unterwattenbach. Considering the detailed civil works and several modifications of the offered services the construction time of five months was very short. So some construction phases had to be carried out simultanously. In the beginning of October the project was scheduled on time to the client Staatliches Bauamt Landshut.
