The STREICHER offshore drilling rig VDD 400.2 is going to be forwarded by sea

After just 1 ½ years of engineering and construction, the drilling rig VDD 400.2 is now being delivered by MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA. The compact rig, with its fully automated pipehandler, a pipe deck for storing rods and pipes and its partially automated pipe handling crane, is going to be loaded in about 130 modules altogether, on four inland water vessels in the port of Deggendorf. From there, the vessels sail on the river Danube to Antwerpen, where the rig gets transferred to a seaworthy cargo ship, which carries on to the destination port Mongstad in Norway. From there, the rig will be transported on special platform supply vessels to the Statoil platform Heimdal.In the fourth quarter of 2014 the operation shall start. The offshore drilling rig will be on the platform in the Norwegian part of the North Sea and is going to decommission and seal existing bore holes permanently.

STREICHER at the IFAT fair 2014 in Munich

From 05th May to 09th May 2014 the STREICHER Group presents itself at the IFAT ENTSORGA fair in Munich, hall B6/booth # 204. IFAT is the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. STREICHER’s presentation focuses on the division of local network construction with topics like horizontal flush drilling, near surface geothermic wells or trenchless piping systems layed by a conventional torpedo plow as well as on services which are closely related to the sectors named. At about 215,000 m² more than 3,000 exhibitors from 49 countries present their environmental technologies which are planned to offer the solutions for the challenges of tomorrow and give the experts the opportunity for detailed discussions. Completion of the Workover Rig MD 120.1

STREICHER Drilling Technology GmbH, Gommen has completed the construction of the new Workover Rig MD 120.1. After a construction period of just nine months, the drilling rig will be handed over to a polish client on 31st March 2014 according to schedule. Following, a one week commissioning and training session takes place, which will be held by employees of STREICHER Drilling Technology, Gommern. The first operation of the drilling rig is scheduled for April 2014.

MAX STREICHER S.p.A. moves into a new office building

In the beginning of the year, MAX STREICHER S.p.A. in Parma/Italy moved into its new office building, including a storage yard. The new company premises comprises an area of approx. 22.000 square meters. The relocation has accommodated the growth of MAX STREICHER S.p.A. In the past years, the subsidiary of the STREICHER Group has established itself very well as a specialist in the field of pipeline construction on the Italian market. Today, MAX STREICHER S.p.A. is an important partner of the gas network operating company SNAM Rete Gas in Italy. Last year, the scope of services has been extended by the business sector plant construction, which showed a successful market entry, due to the execution of the contract for surficial facilities for the gas storage system Bordolano.

GRTgaz awarded STREICHER with follow-up contract in France

The French network operator GRTgaz commissioned the branch Nantes of MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA with the construction of lot 1 of the pipeline “Arc de Dierrey“. This pipeline with a diameter of DN 1200 is directly connected to the lots of the pipeline “Haute de France II“, that STREICHER realised on behalf of GRTgaz the year before. The new order includes a distance of 62.1 kilometers between Cuvilly and Betz. Construction period lasts from April 2014 until November 2015. Furthermore STREICHER was commissioned with the detail engineering for lot 4. This pipeline section has a length of 62.5 kilometers and runs from Dierrey-St-Julien to Viviers-sur Artaut. The project “Arc de Dierrey“ will be carried out in the course of the North-South expansion of the French long distance gas network.
