The simultaneous expansion of fibre-optic infrastructure, local heating supply and comprehensive road resurfacing, with the aim of improving the municipality’s digital future-proofing, energy efficiency and transport infrastructure.
Responsible for the execution is the Digital and Municipal Infrastructure (DKI) department for the underground pipeline construction, as well as the Road and Civil Engineering division in Deggendorf.
Using synergies within the group has been standard practice at STREICHER for many decades. Thanks to this seamless coordination within the group, the project is progressing rapidly. To date, 13,459 m of the district heating main pipeline and 35,431 m of broadband main cables have been laid. Of the total 1,004 planned household connections for the broadband network, 628 have already been completed, and for the district heating network, 195 out of 518 connections have been finished.
With this project, STREICHER is demonstrating its wide range of services in infrastructure construction as well as its expertise. This is particularly important because projects such as this will become increasingly common in the future.
