STREICHER Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG participates in an innovative research project

The "HyPerFerment" project for fermentative hydrogen production could be a big step on the way to hydrogen mobility.

Hydrogen plant

A special fermentation process (similar to that of biogas production) and using certain microorganisms could produce hydrogen directly from organic residues. In this way, STREICHER Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG, together with the microbiological laboratory MicroPro GmbH and the "Fraunhofer Institut für Fabrikbetrieb und ‑automatisierung" IFF Magdeburg, plans to take a big step towards hydrogen mobility.
Funding for the two-year research project was secured through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

STREICHER Anlagenbau will develop the appropriate system technology for this purpose and in the second phase of the project will design and test a pilot system.
