Subject of the award was an entry submitted by the HSE-Q department for a drilling fluid recycling plant for the treatment of used water-based drilling fluids. The plant was designed by the STREICHER division local network construction. The use of this plant reduces the waste quantity by 80 % and also the transportation volume of the remaining material significantly. Moreover, the processed drilling fluid can be used for further drillings.
The certificate was presented to Dr. Thomas Jung during IPLOCA’s annual convention in London in September.
