Geothermal drilling for greenhouse heating

DrillTec GUT GmbH Großbohr- und Umwelttechnik successfully completed geothermal drilling in the Netherlands.

Geothermal drilling in Luttelgeest

At the beginning of the year 2018 the Hoogweg Aardwarmte B.V. contracted DrillTec with drilling operations to produce geothermal energy, for future greenhouse heating. Between February and May DrillTec drilled deviated wells (triplet) in Luttelgeest, approx. 100 km North-east of Amsterdam. For the positioning of the drilling rig (VDD 370.2 VarioRig) an area of 55 x 145 meters was provided, situated directly next to the greenhouses. The work routine in the greenhouses were not allowed to be impacted at any time.
The project already could be finished before the (commonly with the client) intended deadline. Ultimate results still are not on hand, but the client informed DrillTec about positive indications that could let assume that geothermal water could be produced and used for heating.
