THD University Management Impressed by the Diverse and Sustainable Range of Services and the Innovative Strength of the STREICHER Group

The university management of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, led by its president, Prof. Waldemar Berg, recently visited the STREICHER site in Deggenau.

Numerous divisions, in particular the mechanical engineering and electrical engineering business areas, are located there.

After a warm welcome and introduction to the STREICHER Group by Maximilian Hofmann (managing director of MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA), Markus Weiß (head of Drilling Technology) gave an overview of the companies and departments based at the Deggenau site and their range of services. During a subsequent tour of the manufacturing and production halls, the visitors were impressed by the diversity and depth of STREICHER's range of services, especially the innovations in the field of sustainability.

The visit was rounded off by an intensive discussion and exchange of experiences on the shortage of skilled workers, especially with regard to the declining number of students in engineering courses.

It was agreed to continue the discussions and to jointly seek ways of getting young people from the region more interested in engineering courses.
