There are still numerous regions in Germany with a poor internet connection. This also includes parts of the district of Cham. On behalf of the so-called in-house operation "Digital Infrastructure" of the district of Cham, the municipal and digital infrastructure department of MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA is currently carrying out two of the initial 19 building clusters.
The project includes more than 300 km of cable routes and at least 2,000 house connections with fiber optics (fibre to the home). In addition, 255 cable ducts and 32 cable distribution cabinets have to be set up. The realisation of this challenging project is just possible because the municipal and digital infrastructure department is able to carry out all the necessary trades itself. The excellent teamwork of the employees, who work according to a sophisticated, efficient system also makes a significant contribution to the success of the project.
In addition, STREICHER tries to save time and money and to work environmentally friendly as much as possible: Only dig up where it is absolutely necessary – otherwise cable plough, trench cutter or directional drilling method are used.
